Meet Knight
Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, June 10th and Sunday, June 11th from 12pm-4pm. See individual dogs to see who will be attending as not all dogs will be attending the event. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, June 10th and June 11th from 12pm-4pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Knight is a 4 year old Miniature Schnauzer-Poodle mix who weighs about 20-25lbs. He has a non-shedding coat but may not necessarily be one that is an option for those who have allergies. His coat is slightly wire but also curly like a Poodle. Knight has a fabulous personality. He loves his people. He lives with other dogs and gets along with them. However, he has challenges on a leash. He will need an experienced dog owner who has dealt with dogs who are reactive on a leash. He is not use to a leash and is a bit of a wild child.
Knight is not a barker at home. He is crate trained. He knows how to use the doggy door. He was a rescue from the shelter. We don't know his story previously. But we know that some lucky family is going to get an amazing dog. He also gets along with cats.
Knight will require a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years. If there are children in the home they do need to be over the age of 8.
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
