Meet Klondike

Born December 2018, Klondike is a 95-pound teen-pup that came to us from a shelter. He probably lived in a home at one time because he is potty trained and will sleep in a crate with no fuss. This teenager is learning doggy manners. With exercise, mental stimulation (enrichment), and appropriate chewing toys like a Nylabone, Klondike is learning what is acceptable. He enjoys playing with a tennis ball to release energy before a walk. This seems to really soothe him.

He needs to continue fear-free dog training to help build confidence. New environments and experiences cause anxiety so baby steps for this pup. He may benefit from having a young female companion but no small pets of any kind. He thrives with structure and enjoys affection.

**Northern Breed & Force-Free Dog Training Experience Required**

If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog, please complete an application online via our website: or email: for an application.

Your application helps CHAAMP determine a good match based upon your lifestyle, other pets, etc. We are happy to work with you. A home visit is required prior to all adoptions. You can visit the Malamutes once you're approved for adoption. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how positive reinforcement brings out the best in Malamutes.

CHAAMP accepts applications from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC.

~Adult dogs (two-seven years old): $275.00
~Older dogs (eight years old or over): $100.00
~Puppies (6 months - 1 year): $350.00
~Puppies (under 6 months): $375.00

All Malamutes are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Adoption fees help us cover these costs. Puppy fees are higher because they require more vet visits for vaccines.

CHAAMP IS NOT A SHELTER. We are volunteers covering a 7-state region.
