Kizzy Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Temple, TX

Meet Kizzy! She is a 2 yr old and we believe she is a heeler/kelpie cross. She is a dainty 30 lbs, spayed, and up-to-date on her shots. Kizzy is potty trained, crate trained, she loves men and women alike, and is good with dogs and cats. She is very skittish; however, after a month of being out of the scary shelter, she has grown leaps and bounds. I am hopeful she will become more confident and secure with the right forever home. I would consider her a quiet dog but she will definitely tell you when she’s feeling strongly about something, whether it’s happy to see you or she really REALLY wants to be outside. ? She’s quirky and playful when she feels safe. She loves laying on the couch or in her crate. At this time she’s not a cuddler or lap dog but she definitely loves to hear her owner’s voice and loves to be praised (especially with treats!) Her forever home needs a fenced yard with another well behaved dog in the home, an owner who has the patience to allow her time to adjust to her new home, and someone familiar with basic dog training who will continue to build Kizzy’s confidence.
