Kiwi Pit Bull Terrier Mix Bellingham, WA

Hi, my name is Kiwi! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Goofy, attention seeking, active
-Can Live with Kids: Yes, 12 and older only. However, adults should be the only ones that walk me until I learn not to pull on the leash.
-Can Live with Cats: NO. I have a VERY high prey drive and absolutely cannot share my home with cats or other small animals.
-Can Live with Dogs: At this point, we are unsure how Kiwi will be with other dogs. He has some pretty severe leash/barrier reactivity (will bark, lunge, and pull *very* strongly to get to the other dog), and this behavior may or may not translate to off-leash interactions. We are still observing Kiwi's behavior with other dogs, and at this point are recommending he be the only dog in the home, OR at the very least, needs to go home with a very TOLERANT, social dog. Please ask staff for more details.
-Can do Apartment Living: Yes, with plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation. However, his IDEAL living situation would a be a single family home with a nice big yard to run around in.
-Potty Trained: Appears to be
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, 1 private lesson
-Energy Level: Medium/High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope!
-Additional Information: Kiwi will do anything for a treat and he is not picky! Kiwi is still working on his leash manners and is a very strong boy so adults should be the only ones that walk him until he has learned not to pull so hard on the leash. Kiwi is tolerant of being handled and is gentle when taking treats, so he can live with older kids that won't get knocked down. He is very playful and loooves belly rubs!
