Meet KitKat – Your Low-Maintenance Puppy Dream!

Looking for a puppy without the chaos of full-blown puppyhood? Meet KitKat, the sweet and snuggly young pup who has all the basics down and is just waiting to melt into your life (and your couch).

KitKat came to Illinois from Tennessee as a tiny pup with his mom and siblings. While his siblings have all been adopted, KitKat has been growing up in foster care—still waiting for someone to notice what an incredible catch he is! (We’ve even attached a picture of one of his adopted sibling’s DNA test for those curious about his mix!)

This laid-back boy is the perfect blend of puppy playfulness and calm companionship. He’s a huge cuddler, a certified couch potato, and an easy walker on leash. He absolutely lives for food and treats and has a soft spot for chew toys, especially the tougher kind. He also loves to play with kids and is wonderfully gentle with toddlers—he seems to understand when to tone it down.

KitKat is about 95% potty trained and rarely has accidents. He’s crate trained and sleeps through the night like a champ—he’s never had an accident overnight. He knows a ton of commands like sit, down, stay, come, crate, and drop it, and he even waits patiently for his food. He’s quiet, easy to correct, eager to please, and thrives on routine (bedtime is around 8:30 p.m., and he wakes up between 6–7 a.m.). He can go about five hours during the day without needing a potty break. KitKat is very social and would do best in a home with another dog to play and cuddle with. He’s also incredibly affectionate and loves giving kisses.

With his stunning eyes, sweet nature, and excellent training foundation (thanks to a foster dad who’s done amazing work with him), KitKat is the ultimate “puppy-without-the-puppy-problems” package.
