Dear potential forever family,

Hi, I’m Kira… a funny spunky 4-year-old poodle who is looking for a forever family to laugh and pal around with.  I feel most at ease in the comfort of an easy breezy zenned out home and in that environment you will see my angel-like qualities and all the quirkiness of my humor.  Even though I’m not as comfortable on social outings, I will ultimately do best with someone who will challenge me to go outside of my comfort zone and help teach me to trust.  I’ve made huge strides since being in the shelter and am gaining confidence every day.  Since we’re being honest here, some of my vices are treats and yummy food, really anything tasty, and then I usually forget about my insecurities and become your bff. Ok, I’m food motivated… intelligent and easily teachable, but also need to be sure to keep a healthy weight.  Because it’s important to build my self-esteem, I won’t do well with a first time pet parent or in a family with kids.  I will do best with someone who is a confident alpha and can lead me through the complexities of life and help me be the best version of my adorable self.  If you are looking for a life companion and lots of laughs, then I know we are the PAWfect match.
