Meet Kiona

Kiona is silly and loves nothing more than to play with you. She is highly food motivated and knows 'sit' and 'high five'. She does phenomenal in her crate. We are still working on house training but if she's taken out after eating, she typically doesn't have accidents. Her past is one of neglect and it shows in her insecurities. She needs someone who can show her the world isn't so scary- she was scared of the broom, trash can, cars passing by on walks and lots of household things at first. She is nervous around men at first but has made huge strides with the fosters husband and he is now her favorite person on the planet. She is jumpy when excited and sometimes nips because of this. They have been working on this since having a trainer out and she is doing so much better. Also she can resource guard her food around men or new people (has never done this with foster mom but growled at her husband once when feeding her) so I think young children might not be best. She seems to have a high prey drive so I would say no cats either.
