Meet King – an adorable, playful pup looking for his forever home!
Status: Adoptable
• 2.5 years
• Pit Bull Terrier mix
• Male
• Rust and white coloring
• 52 pounds
• House-trained; has been on a routine and usually goes out after he eats
• Crate-trained; great in his crate and hangs out in a crate while family is at work
• Fence recommended
• Low grooming needs (baths, nails); low shedding
• King loves going for walks and playing in the backyard daily (active guy!)
• Good with new people
• Good with dogs; not good with smaller dogs
• Would do best with older children comfortable when a dog invades their space with his energy
• Unknown how he would do with cats

King is a sweet and fun-loving snuggle bug who loves watching the world around him. Whatever his humans are doing, he wants to be close and a part of it; he wants to make his people happy!
He loves going for walks enjoying all the smells and sights, playing with toys, and has been having a blast with the game of fetch!
King is a sensitive sweetheart who can be reactive to change; he gets excited when he meets new people and goes new places – he is super happy about it, but it does take some time for him to calm back down to his normal self. Recently, he has been very excited when walking by dogs in yards and his foster family has been working on this with him and he is making great progress! He really only barks if another dog has already started barking. He enjoys learning new things and loves treats.
In his ideal home, he would be in an environment where he is loved dearly and is able to hang out with his people as much as possible. Daily walks and time spent exploring the backyard would be awesome too. Patience and continual training will also help King be the best dog that he can be!
His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration. Adoption fees exclude mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
