King Pit Bull Terrier Mix Lake Monroe, FL

King is a gentle 1 year old pup who is so deserving of a forever family. A little bit about King's short past... King was brought into Animal Control as a puppy, was adopted and was found a short period after abandoned, thin, with scars and limping. He was brought into Animal Control a second time and it was noted that he needed hip surgery. His foster home reached out to TEARS desperate for help in getting King the surgery he needed and help with finding a new home. Of course, we knew we had to help...

King is currently in a loving foster home recovering from his surgery on October 31st. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and we feel that with his gentle nature, he would get along with just about any pets. He’s still learning to trust humans and can be a bit shy indoors, but he’s making progress every day. Once he’s outside, though, he truly shines! He loves to play and interact with people outdoors. King has a soft spot for bones and toys, and he’s pretty good on a leash, just needs a little reminder not to pull when he gets too excited. King has been a very easy foster boy....very well-mannered, doesn't jump on people and pretty quiet with his barking. King is also house-trained, crate trained, a great listener, and is a very easygoing buddy.
