King’s FAQs

What is Columbiana County Dog Pound & Adoption Center’s adoption process?

At CCDP, all of our dogs & puppies are spayed/neutered prior to adoption unless a medical concern arises and our vet will not clear the dog/puppy for surgery. Our dogs are also microchipped, up to date on routine vaccinations, dewormed and will be issued a current Columbiana County Dog License. Our adoption fee is $152. Our adoption fee and what is included in your adoption fee is non-negotiable. We require ALL dogs & puppies adopted from our shelter be house dogs. We do not make exceptions for this rule. These dogs deserve better than many of them came from. Any dog discovered to be living outdoors after adoption will be immediately seized. You will not receive the dog or your adoption fee back. Our application/adoption contract is filled out and signed in person, upon adoption. We may require additional background checks depending on the dog. This helps us keep our dogs from situations where the end up with previos owners they were removed from (Yes, people that neglect dogs send people to try to get them back sometimes).
