Meet Kimora
KIMORA IS IN A FOSTER HOME. Please submit an online adoption application if you’d like to meet her. Thank you!
Date of birth: 10/27/2014
11/24/2019: Kimora is a darling Lab/Terrier mix. She looks like a little Sweet Potato, and her foster mom calls her a Sweet Couch Potato! Kimora is 5 years old and weighs 55 lbs. She LOVES attention and she’s a velcro dog who wants to be with people. She’d love a home where someone is home quite a lot. She can be a little shy with people at first, but it doesn’t take her long at all to bond. She’s very easy to care for and her foster mom says she’s pretty much perfect! Kimora gets along well with other dogs and cats and lives with both in her foster home. She’s submissive with dogs and really likes small dogs. She’d prefer a dog who is fairly calm like she is. If you have a dog you could bring your dog to meet Kimora before adopting her.
Kimora is house trained and crate trained. Her foster mom crates her when she’s gone. She rides nicely in the car and is very easy to walk on a leash.

She’ll need regular vet visits so that your vet can monitor for anything abnormal. Kimora is hypothyroid and takes a daily medication for that.
Kimora has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. She’s a sweetheart and will make a wonderful, loving companion!
MORE ON ADOPTING OUR DOGS...
> WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO SUBMIT AN ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION AND SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. By submitting an online application, we can process your application more quickly and can schedule an appointment for you to come in so that our small staff can serve you best. It also allows us to make arrangements if you’d like to meet a pet in foster care. Please visit our web site at HSGKC.ORG for an adoption application and more information about our adoption process, fees and all that's included.  An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements.
> If you decide you'd like to adopt one of the pets you meet, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the pet home with you that day. We’ll instead schedule a pick up date and time that’s convenient for you.Â
> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!
> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.
Thank you for searching for a shelter pet!
