You can't measure happiness but you sure can measure what it'll take to get me home! First start off with lots of yummy treats. Maybe a toy or two will do. Second some gentle words and affirmations go a long way. Third once you start petting me please don't stop! (I hope you'll let me crawl into your lap too!) Fourth make sure to bring in any resident doggies for me to meet. Then before you know it you've fallen in love! How could I be any more perfect you may ask? AAWL requires that all adopted dogs leave with a leash and collar and all cats leave in a carrier.
