MEET Kiki!

Kiki is a 1year old, 40 lb, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped hound mix who looking for her people. She is house trained and crate trained. She likes to snuggle and cuddle and follow her people around. Kiki is a homebody. She does not want to go to town or on field trips. She knows how to sit on command and is eager to learn. She does well on a leash in a quiet, predictable environment. Because she is a hound dog who loves to sing, a fenced yard in the country would be ideal. Kiki is not an apartment dog.

Kiki does have a few special behavioral needs due to having been abandoned and needing to fend for herself. She developed resource guarding issues around treats/food bowls/bones and shows aggression around other dogs (not people); therefore, Kiki needs to be in a home as an only dog. She takes time meeting new people and requires slow introductions to men. She will require love, patience, and training. In the right home Kiki will thrive and be your very best friend.

LIKES: quiet evenings at home, curling up with a good bone, lounging in the sun, country living
DISLIKES: sharing food or treats (who does?), surprises
GOALS: being the center of her person’s universe (and a backup singer in a bluegrass band)
