Meet Khao

This smiley, handsome man is Khao (pronounced KAY-oh), and he’s a 6-year-old sable GSD looking for his forever home. Kkao was rescued from a small shelter in Southern IL. He was given up because his owners were divorcing. Khao made his way up to Chicago and is adjusting to city life. His foster mom repeated he is a very good boy who loves to sit for treats and enjoys walks around town. Khao is crate trained and housebroken, and has been working on his leash manners. He is reactive towards other dogs and sometimes people on his walks, so his adoptive family will need to plan on bringing him to training. When at the shelter he tested ok with another dog, but we have no other history on him with other animals. Khao loves stuffy toys and belly rubs! This sweet boy has a lot of potential to thrive in the right home and promises to be loyal and loving. You’d be hard-pressed to find him too far from his humans as he loves to snuggle and stay as close as possible.
