Kevin is a 1-year-old terrier/retriever mix who’s the perfect combo of brains, brawn, and snuggles. With his sweet, outgoing personality and eagerness to please, Kevin is ready to find a forever family that can keep up with both his active side and his love for downtime on the couch.
Kevin is house trained, crate trained (he’ll go into any crate without fuss!), and walks beautifully on a leash. He’s got medium-to-high energy, but don’t worry—he’s easy to satisfy with a daily walk, some basic obedience for treats, or even a treadmill session on rainy days. He’s a smart cookie and really enjoys working his brain!
He’s been great with other dogs (especially big ones!) and loves people of all ages, including kids. He’s still learning to manage his excitement sometimes, but he’s respectful and eager to learn. He hasn’t had a chance to interact closely with cats yet, so his feline compatibility is still unknown.
Kevin is very food motivated and loves his Kong, especially when it’s stuffed with treats. He knows his basics like sit, down, and stay, and responds well to redirection. He’s not a big barker, except at mealtime when he gets a little extra enthusiastic—but it’s nothing excessive.
Whether you’re looking for a running buddy, a walking companion, or a cuddle pal, Kevin fits the bill. He’s sweet, affectionate, loves everyone he meets, and will absolutely melt your heart. Just don’t let his charming smile fool you—he’s a little opportunist who will test boundaries if you let him… but he always listens when you take the lead.
