Meet Kevin. This guy of about 1-2 yrs of age is definitely a mix of breeds with some long lanky legs, a beautiful coloring to his coat, a sleek physique, and spunk in his step. He loves running in the yard, and letting you now that he has athletic ability. He also does perimeter checks in the yard, making sure all is well, that he lets one and all know he is there keeping things in check. The shelter is tough for this guy as he definitely can get overstimulated and just wants to be out and about on adventures and enjoying all that life has to offer.

Kevin knows how to sit quite handsomely and has learned to take treats nicely with practice and help from his volunteer friends. He has also mastered the art of “paw” and “down” and because he is a smart focused dog, he looks forward to learning more cool things once in his new home. Kevin has also shown signs of being housebroken but we always recommend an adjustment period in a new home environment .

Kevin loves to go for walks and does walk well on leash. He is a dog that will need regular exercise such as walks, jogs, or even fun hikes as it keeps him fit, as well as maintaining his energy level. He also is a dog that will bond with his human pal that will engage with him, and training will create an amazing opportunity to make that happen. He does love praise and attention but might not be the dog to always climb on your lap, or, beg for constant snuggle sessions.

Kevin will need a playmate that understands him as he can be a bit reactive at first meeting.

This guy came in very skinny, has added a few pounds at the shelter and he might fill out a bit more, but, we want him to keep his sleek physique as dogs need to maintain a good weight to keep them overall healthy.

Kevin is much more stunning in person so come on down and meet him! You might be the home that he is looking for….. he really is a great dog that will surely settle in once given the chance to decompress, and find his place in his new home.
