Meet Keoka
Meet Kekoa — The Brave Warrior with a Heart of Gold!
His name, Kekoa, means “brave warrior” in Hawaiian — and honestly, it couldn’t be more perfect. Once found wandering county roads, skinny and heartbroken, this resilient boy has been through more than any dog should. But true to his name, Kekoa never gave up. His spirit stayed strong, and his tail (what’s left of it after all that wagging) kept on moving.
Kekoa is a gentle soul with eyes full of love and quiet courage. Every day, he’s learning to trust people again — and each belly rub and kind word makes that big heart of his shine even brighter.
He’s a social butterfly who enjoys hanging out with other dogs, often showing off his happy-go-lucky side when he’s got friends to play with.
A total leash pro, Kekoa loves calm walks and scenic strolls where he can take in all the smells (and maybe a good breeze through his fur). He’s more of a “slow and soulful” explorer — no rushing this guy; he’s got peace and purpose in every step.
Kekoa does have liver disease and needs a special diet to stay feeling his best — but don’t let that fool you! It doesn’t slow this brave warrior down one bit. If anything, he just thinks it makes him a little extra fancy.
Now, Kekoa’s looking for his final chapter — a soft landing where he can soak up all the love, comfort, and snacks he deserves.
