PLEASE NOTE -Sunny Sky’s Rescue is open to the public on Wednesdays from 12-4pm and Saturdays from 12-4pm. Although our shelter will once again be open to the public we are still following Covid-19 precautions. All visitors are asked to wear a facemask and observe social distancing. Although the public are able to view our dogs and cats during this time, in order to have a meet and greet a preapproved application is required.*

We are still making changes to our application process and at this time we are only allowing pre-approved applicants to have formal meet and greets with the pets available for adoption. We strongly recommend visitors fill out the adoption application prior to visiting.

Kendrick is looking for a new forever family where he can explore his new domain and have a job to do. He would love a large fenced yard where he could run and stretch his legs. Kendrick is a very alert and watchful 7 year old Corgi/Heeler mix. He will sit politely for a treat and watch to see if you have any more! He also knows - stay/shake/ and down. And this sweet boy plays a great game of fetch! He is very smart and would excel at additional training. Kendrick enjoys his treats and has put on a bit of weight. He would be a great little walking partner to work off an extra few pounds and also keep him busy and happy. This pup enjoys adult company but is not fond of children or kitties. He would do best in an adult home. He is protective of his people and would do best as the only dog. He is protective of his owner and needs to be in another room when guests are present. His DOB is 8/7/13.

Dog adoption fee is $259. This includes the spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate current vaccines (bordetella, distemper, rabies), microchip, and preventative flea treatment.

Our adoption process has changed during this time and we will be processing applications before having potential adopters meet the animals, this way we will be able to match families with their forever pets. You will have an opportunity on the application to let us know what type of pet you are looking for.

Although you cannot request a specific dog or cat the preapproval will give you access to a meet and greet with the group of dogs or cats your application matches you with. This is the first step at finding your special new family member! Please note preapproval applications are online only – there are no paper applications available on site. You will be notified in 3 business days of your preapproval status.
