Kenai Husky Mix Oakland, CA

Kenai is a black and white husky and border collie mix, full of love and life. He is a fluffy goofball that loves playing with other dogs and water. He is about 45 pounds with lots of fur. He is house trained, but requires being taken out multiple times a day, as huskies are full of energy and never get tired! He loves long walks where we can greet other dogs and humans and gets down when he is unable. He is getting better at walking on the leash, and will continuously check in with you as you walk. Kenai loves to sleep and will do so anywhere as long as the room is cold. He spends lots of time outside playing with his tennis ball and squeaky toys. He will do anything for a hot dog, and has been increasingly learning great manners. Kenai loves to find and play in water; including on blades of grass and muddy water. He also loves to play in all water - and will roll around in his bowl and the sprinklers when we can. He will also be the most loyal companion. Once he learns to trust you, he will walk around the house with you, sit at your feet as you work and lay on the kitchen floor ready to capture any droppings from your food.

Kenai will need a home that will be patient at first. However once he opens up he will be a ball of love and play. Kenai is a long term investment and any family that chooses to be his forever home will reap many rewards for doing so.

Kenai would be best with another dog his size that he can play with, or as an only dog.
