Kelpie German Shepherd Dog Mix Dillsburg, PA

This beautiful, fun-loving girl is Kelpie! She is a 3.5 year old German Shepherd Mix. She's on the petite side at only about 60 lbs and much shorter hair than a purebread shepherd. Her mama rescued her all the way out in Las Vegas where she was in immediate danger of euthenasia. The rescue believed she may have been used as a bait dog as she had scratches and wounds across her face and broken limbs. We will never know though. That is all in the past though! Kelpie is a brave and resilliant young dog and has moved on from that chapter in her life.

Unfortunately, after making a move across the country to PA, there was a change in living situation and Kelpie needed to be surrendered. She is quickly becoming a favorate at the rescue though! She is bright, energetic and loves to play! She would do great with an active home where she can get plenty of exercise. A fenced in yard would be a plus as she loves to practice "fetch!"

Kelpie has high prey drive and should not go to a home with cats or small pets. She is dog selective and would do fine in a home with older children (13+).
