Darling Kelly Kapowski was found stray and taken to a local shelter - a little Chihuahua Pug / Chug at a mere 12 lbs and 6 years old! She is loving life in her foster home where she’s perfecting her potty habits and learning to walk on leash with a harness. She is learning the joy of living in a home with her people as it is likely she may have been a yard dog and was not taken out on happy walks, but taking to it well. Kelly is very comfortable going potty in a private yard and seems to understand that concept, but has yet to do her business on a walk, walks that she is now starting to enjoy and master. Her ideal home would be a house with a private yard (big or small) or a deck or private space with grass where she feels comfortable. She would be fine in an apartment or a condo with patient loving people who can guide her. Kelly is diabetic, something her former owners did not tend to, and it is now fully managed with insulin 2x a day - much like millions of people with diabetes, and she acclimated to her insulin treatments with no problem at all. She is the perfect angel - quiet, cuddly, enjoys her little kisses, and loving life. And she LOVES TO EAT...
