SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Kelly is a very sweet dog who absolutely loves people and is wonderful with other dogs. She is about as close to perfection as a dog can be. Kelly is 29 pounds and fully grown at just one year. Happy, healthy, playful and sweet, this girl loves the other dogs here and loves all the volunteers. She would make an excellent addition to most any home. While not overactive, she is only a year old so would not be the best choice for sedentary adopters.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
