Kelby the Kelpie Australian Kelpie Mix Springfield, MO

I come from the land down under...

Okay, not really, but I AM an Australian Kelpie mix, so...

I am a one-year-old, 61-pound, boy looking for an active family to spend my forever with. I am house trained, but not a fan of the crate at all. Luckily, I don't need it. I get along great with other dogs, but I'm not sure about cats or kids, because I haven't met any yet. My foster mom would be happy to cat and/or kid test me if needed though, so don't let that deter you from meeting me. I am a high-energy, active young lad, so I really need a fenced yard to run and play in. No apartment life for me. Another dog to play with would be nice too, but I would be fine as an only dog, as long as my family spends a lot of time with me and makes sure I get plenty of exercise. I would love to meet you and show you what a good boy I am.

I am a graduate of the Pups for Parole training program. I have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. Here is what the folks who were working with me had to say about me:

He can play well with anyone, and communicates to them that they can relax and enjoy running and playing without fear. He has taught the other dogs by example, a devoted teacher; and I haven’t even talked about his personality. He is guaranteed to put a smile on everyone’s face he encounters. I was playing a game with him on which hand is the treat in, ( he always does so well at this), and he got so bored, same old game, he rolled over on his side and lazily pawed the hand it was in. What a nut….He also knows how to roll over and does an amazing play dead. A fantastic soul!”

I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I've learned!

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
