Meet Keeva
5-Month-Old Shepherd Mix | Dog-Friendly | Cat-Safe | Best with Older Kids
Keeva’s story is one of resilience and second chances. This sweet 5.5-month-old shepherd mix found herself on the euthanasia list at a local shelter after a terrifying experience—she got stuck in a fence and, in her panic, bit the people trying to help her. Can you blame her? She was scared, confused, and didn’t know what was happening. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time and has been nothing but a sweetheart since arriving in our care. Best guess is an adult weight of 45-55 lbs.
Keeva may have never lived in a home before, but she’s learning quickly and soaking up love like a sponge. She’s still discovering the world and will thrive with a patient adopter who can help her build confidence at her own pace.
One thing is clear: Keeva adores other dogs. She lights up around her canine companions and relies on them to help her feel safe and secure. Because of this, Keeva must go to a home with another friendly, playful dog who can show her the ropes and be her buddy in life.
She’s also cat-safe—actually, she’s a little scared of them—so no issues there! Due to her shy and skittish nature, a calm home without young children is best. Older, respectful kids should be just fine, as long as the environment is peaceful and predictable.
Keeva is still just a baby with a heart full of love to give. She’s looking for someone who sees her potential and is ready to help her blossom into the confident, happy dog she’s meant to be. Could that be you?
Requires a secure stockade fenced back yard.
Keeva is crate-trained but may need continued assistance with house and leash training (we recommend a harness).
She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225.
