Meet Keeley
Meet Keeley!
4 year old Lab x Shepherd x Husky mix
Keeley came to Paws-United from Northern Quebec through the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. She is a medium energy dog, who is looking for an owner with dog experience! She is physically strong for her size, but is a great listener, eager to learn and easy to train.
She is super affectionate and loves ALL people and very good with kids too! She loves being pet, brushed, and cuddling up when she’s invited on the couch. She loves interactive games and learning new tricks to work for her kibble (very food motivated!) So far she knows: Sit, Stay, Down, Paw (shake), and “Bang” (play dead). She also loves car rides!
Keeley loves going for walks and does very well with a halti without much pulling. She does have strong prey drive so she gets a little excited around squirrels and cats (fairly easy to redirect though). For this reason, Keeley would do best in a home with a fenced yard or on a long lead outside with her people around. She does not like being left alone outside and is very good at jumping and climbing if she is motivated to chase small prey.
While Keeley has had another dog friend with her first foster, she is not always good with new dog introductions and this is something she is working on with her foster family and a trainer. For now she would do best in a home with no other pets.
Keeley has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Nexgard Spectra, and heartworm tested.
