MEET KEEBA!

This amazing little Beagles is named Keeba! Keeba is somewhere around 10 years old and was surrendered to Philadelphia's animal control shelter in her retirement years because she had developed a tumor under her arm and her former family couldn't provide her necessary veterinary care. She lucked out and found the perfect foster home so she could get the care she needed. Now that she's recovered, she's ready to find her forever!

Keeba is basically as sweet as dogs come. She has so much personality packed in her little hound body. She enjoys long walks at slow speeds, following her humans from room to room especially if there's the chance of dropped snacks, and snuggling with other dogs and cats! Fun fact: Keeba once won "Loudest Bark" at a state fair in her younger years! But don't worry. While she's vocal like Beagles tend to be, she doesn't use that bark while you're at work. She's happy to hang out by herself while you're at the office or running errands. Keeba is also completely housebroken! This sweet girl loves meeting new people or all shapes, sizes and ages. We think she'd do great in a home with older kids who understand she can't play like a puppy though she may still try or even a home with other pets!

Keeba had a large malignant tumor removed from under her arm. She received diagnostics and follow-up with her oncologist to ensure that the cancer had not spread elsewhere. So now that the tumor is gone, so is the cancer! She will however need periodic follow-ups as she continues to age. Keeba is otherwise in great shape for her age.

Keeba is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also heartworm and lymes disease negative.
