You do not have to be a resident of Bedford to adopt, however you do have to be able to come to our shelter as we can not ship any animal under any circumstances. Adoption fees are $60 for all animals and adopters receive a $10 voucher to cover the cost of a rabies vaccination and a $25 voucher to go towards the costs of the spay/neuter surgery. ALL ADOPTED ANIMALS MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED WITHIN A SPECIFIED TIME OR CITATIONS WILL BE ISSUED TO THE ADOPTER. Bedford residents must also purchase a $5 city license. All other vaccinations and health services are the adopter's responsibility. Not all animals that are currently available for adoption are listed on the webpage, so please visit the shelter to see every animal that is in need of a new home.
