Kaya Australian Shepherd & Shetland Sheepdog / Sheltie Mix Elkton, VA

Hiya! My name is Kaya and I am a very outgoing blue merle Aussie who kinda looks a little Sheltie or Collie in the face. I'm very elegant don't you think?

I am still young, probably between 10-12 months. Don't let that fool you though, I don't have crazy puppy energy, with some exercise I settle nicely in the evening. I am crate trained, but I prefer to be with my humans. I actually love a good soft bed in my crate, and I am good for a couple of hours or overnight. I am best buddies with whatever dog will play with me. I share toys and can play roughly with with the best of them.

Even so, I am a quiet girl, even when playing, I am not a barker, and I prefer using my body rather than my mouth the play. My foster mom says I give great hugs and I love to be brushed, though I am a little skinny right now so she has to be careful not to brush too hard until I gain some more weight. I should be around 36-38 pounds as an adult, I am 31.3 pounds right now, so training treats are my jam and I take them gently.

I'm spayed and up to date on my vaccinations. I LOVE to learn, and I love a good car ride wherever you want to go. I'm ready to be your best friend and I promise you'll get lots of love, cuddles and kisses from me. I'd be happy as an only dog, as long as I have a human to spend time with me.
