Katie Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler St. Joseph, MI

Have you always wanted a pet otter but your living situation wasn't conducive to such? Well let us introduce you to Katie the most adorable little (24lb) red heeler/house otter mix. She is absolutely adorable when she asks for treats and reminds us so much of a fun playful little otter we just can't resist.

Katie was saved from the euthanasia list at a shelter in a rural part of Texas. Her foster Dad saw her picture and knew he couldn't let her die. So he ran over and swooped her up right before her deadline. And thank goodness he did, because she is the sweetest cuddle bug. Katie can be a little timid at first of new people given her past, but she warms up quickly especially when treats are involved.

She loves all dogs and would love a playful fur sibling. She already walks great on leash, rides well in the car and is crate and potty trained. We estimate that she is around 3 years old, which is nice; especially when it come to that heeler energy. On the heeler energy scale she comes in and the medium energy level. She likes kids but does still have a tendency to 'heel' (which means nips ankles) but she is learning quick to cut it out. Breed experience or knowledge is a must for a family with small kids looking for a cattle dog to add to their family.

Katie is so deserving of an amazing family that will lover her for the rest of her days and we can't wait to find that for her!
