Katie Hound Mix Scituate, MA

Our sweet friend Katie has been waiting quite a while to find just the right home. Why you ask? Well, we aren't sure!

Overall, 5-year-old Katie is a great gal. She loves to run and play, go for long walks, and curl up in a very plush dog bed (or your couch!) at the end of the day. Katie is housebroken, walks great on a leash, and overall has very good dog manners.

Katie originally came from the south and we can guess she didn't get the socialization she needed as a young pup. Since she is a bit nervous, sometimes she doesn't do well around strangers and would be best suited in a more quiet home, without lots of company around. Once Katie warms up (just her a treat!) she melts into your lap and can't get enough pets. Since she is a bit on the nervous side, she ideally needs an adult only home.

Katie has met other dogs and is polite to her neighbors in the shelter, but since they make her nervous, Katie would be best suited as an only pet in the home (sorry, she will chase a cat!).

Despite some flaws (come on, we all have some!) this beautiful girl is a real love. She has been waiting way to long and we want to see her settle into a new, loving home soon! We know if you give Katie a chance you wouldn't be sorry!
