Meet Kat
Meet Kat!
This adorable little girl came to us as a stray that was surrendered to an overcrowded shelter in Fresno. How someone lost this girl at such a young age is a such a mystery, but we’re so lucky to have her with us.
Kat is a very sweet girl. You can often find her sitting at your feet patiently waiting for you to realize she is ready for snuggles. Once in your lap, she takes no time at all to cozy in. Her favorite place to be is right under your blanket, while we keep telling her that we think she will be about 55 pounds when full grown and not really ideal “lap dog” size, she refuses to believe that for the time being.
Kat loves the company of the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys playing with them, but is much more of a people’s dog. She adores kids, loves to chase them around, but can be very mouthy and needs to continue her training to be sure those sharp puppy teeth land on doggie toys only. Because of this, we are looking dog a home with older kids who will help her learn as she grows.
While she sleeps great through the night in the kennel, house training is still a work in progress and will need to be continued in her new home. Kat has been exposed to dogs, cats and kids and has been great with all!
Because she came to us as a singleton (no family), we are taking a guess at her breed. She has one blue speck in one of her eyes, and a beautiful brindle coat. We are listing her as a pittie/husky mix, although without some helpful hints from a DNA test, her breed is a mystery!
We are currently accepting applications, however official date of adoption is 11/21/23 after her vetting has been complete. We will consider foster to adopt situations for local homes who are able to bring her to her foster home on 11/20 and pick up the evening of 11/21 in Lincoln CA.
Adoption fee $375
This includes spay, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, deworming, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
We do not hold dogs for any reason. Please be available to adopt at your time of application, or apply when you are available. We do not ship dogs out of state.
