Kash Mixed Breed Michigan City, IN

This short, stocky beauty is Kash! She is about 2 years old, is spayed, and is perfectly medium-sized at 50 pounds! She is looking for an adopter who can continue training polite manners and setting boundaries. Kash works well with direction and responds even better to having a strong confident person for her to “follow”. She complies and listens happily during her training sessions!

Speaking of training sessions, Laura Bruccoleri - canine behavior/modification trainer and owner of Canine Etiquette in Northwest Indiana - has spent time with Kash and has offered training assistance for whoever adopts her! Laura will do some in home sessions to help her acclimate into her new home. We feel it's so important for the adopter to understand Kash's needs and how to communicate clearly with her what the rules and boundaries are. She’s all about working to please! If there’s direction given, she’s willing to follow and is very compliant!

We know quite a bit how Kash is In the home thanks to her foster family! Kash is energetic and loves daily exercise. After being left alone, she loves to jump and play so we are working with her on staying down. She is very interested when the treats come out and really seems to enjoy learning and interacting!

Once she is calm, though, she is a complete snuggler and lover. She couldn't be sweeter if she tried. She is in heaven laying next to you on the couch while getting belly rubs. She also loves to take naps with her humans!

Kash does a good job barking if someone comes to the door. Once you assure her everything is fine by greeting your visitors, she is all in for belly rubs from her new friends.

She does well in a crate and willingly went into it when it was time for bed. Kash seems to be housebroken as she never had any accidents in the house or her crate. She is quick to take care of her business outside so she can spend quality time with her human. Kash must have a securely fenced in yard. She can jump pretty high and also is a digger.

She seems to be good with kitties! We do think she would prefer to not have other dog friends in her home. Kash will need any kiddos in the home to be teenagers or older. She isn't too sure about little children.

Kash loves treats, knows how to sit, but is most motivated by your affection! She makes all of us smile all the time. Kash gives the best kisses and loves to play with stuffed animals while you rub her belly!
