Karmen is a beautiful little Beagle mix around a year old and weighing 25 lbs. She's a little girl with a big personality! Karmen was found as a stray, likely abandoned, very malnourished, covered in fleas, and missing lots of hair. In short she was a pathetic looking little girl. With time and lots of TLC she has gained much needed weight and her coat has filled in after being treated for fleas and an obvious flea allergy. What a difference!! Karmen obviously had no previous training so she has and still is learning everything as if she were a new puppy. She is still working on house training but has done very well with her crate and leash training. Because she had been starved she does tend to guard her bowl, not in an aggressive way but a piggy way. She'll eat other dog's food as well so foster mom feeds her in her crate. What she really needs is a stable home life with a family who will be committed to training her just like a brand new puppy. Just a little hint for future training...she is VERY food motivated. Karmen gets along great with other dogs and cats but her absolute favorite playmates are children. She adores children! Karmen is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. She's a friendly, funny, affectionate youngster looking for a special family who will make her a forever family member. She was once a lost. lonely, down trodden soul but with a stroke of luck she was found and rescued. Her life has definitely turned around. Let Karmen know it's all going to be okay and she'll be coming up strong just for love to last a lifetime.
