Karl's Story
Meet Karl!

Karl is a 4-year-old Rottweiler mix (about 70 lbs) with a heart as big as his bark. Don’t let his voice fool you—this handsome guy is as sweet as they come. He loves nothing more than doing zoomies in the yard, going on long walks where he can sniff every interesting smell, and ending the day with snuggles from his favorite people.

Karl is also a true gentleman—he’s not jumpy, and even when he’s running around the yard, he slows down before greeting you with his calm, happy energy. He's also an absolute angel on the leash! We haven't had the chance to formally introduce him to another dog here, but what we've observed so far is that he's very calm and not too interested in other dogs or cats. He's been in close contact with cats on our property and not shown any reaction. The dogs he has gotten close to and has had a good reaction to are some of our calmer dogs. However, we believe that with the correct introductions, Karl could thrive in a home with other siblings whether they be canine, feline or human.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddle-worthy sweetness, Karl is ready to be your guy.

If you would like to meet Karl, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. He is neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Karl's adoption fee is $250, which covers part of the medical care he has received.

**Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth.
Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
