Background :

Kanella arrived in Toronto from Antigua on her freedom flight on Sept 21. She has settled in well to her foster families home and is now ready to find her furever family!


Personality:

Kanella is a sweet and timid girl who will steal your heart in an instant with her kind and gentle soul! She is a bit slow to warm up to new faces but once she is comfortable she will become your shadow. Kanella’s favourite things are going for long walks, chasing squirrels and meeting other dogs on her walks. When Kanella isn’t cuddled up snoozing at home she enjoys playing with her toys, her dog sibling and following her people around the house.


Ideal Home:

Kanella is a laid back girl who could spend her days lounging in her sunny spot. She would be the best work from home buddy or a fantastic companion for a retired couple who can give her the love and attention she deserves. Her timid demeanour would suit a family with older, dog savvy children who can respect her boundaries and help her build confidence around new people and environments. She is scared of big city noises so a neighbourhood that is more quiet and laid back would be her preference.


Training/Activity:

Kanella is a timid girl who is unsure of new faces and the big world outside. She is looking for a family that has patience and will help her build her confidence and show her that new people can be friends too! Kanella is house trained, crate trained and is learning how to walk on the leash. She is quite content to lounge around the house all day, following her people around. Kanella is interested in other dogs, occasionally wanting to meet them while out for her walks. However, Kanella is apprehensive of new human faces and will need patience and training support from her family to help her build confidence and work though her fears.


Summary:

Kanella has unlimited amounts of love to give! She is just in need of a family to take her by the paw and show her how wonderful the world can be! She arrived at her fosters a very scared and shut down dog but with patience, treats, positive reinforcement and love she emerged from her shell in only a few days showing her people that she is bursting with love if given a safe environment! If you’re looking for a sweet, calm, well natured, sun seeking little gal - Kanella is the one for you!
