Meet Kadie

As you can see from her glamor shots, Kadie is an absolutely stunning young lady. While it’s easy to fall in love with that sweet face, her needs are more than skin deep. Kadie will blossom in the care of an active, dog-savvy family equipped to provide her with basic training and daily exercise. We think she'll do best with a fenced yard and another dog to help work off her admirable puppy energy.

At only seven months old, Kadie had already lost two families—most recently a teenager who got this pup on a whim, without consent from her family. Now a full-fledged adolescent, Kadie has had no stability, no training, and no reason to believe that the humans she bonds with today won’t leave her tomorrow.

According to her former owners, Kadie lived with dogs, cats, and kids as young as 8 and did great with all of them. They also report that she is house-trained and crate-trained. She loves people and has--on walks with her STAF buddies--leaned to walk beautifully with a Halti collar. She is a happy and well-mannered car rider, and--thanks to our friends at The Pet Spot--Kadie is well socialized with the doggy daycare gang there.

If you have an opening in your home and heart for a beautiful, adventurous life-partner, Kadie would love to apply! Please, let's here from you today.

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
• Invisible fences: Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we cannot adopt to homes with invisible fences unless otherwise noted in a dog’s profile.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 75-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.

Please visit www.STAF.org for visiting hours, a downloadable application, and additional information.
