Kaavan Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Terrier Mix Williamsburg, NM

Hey there, I'm Kaavan! One afternoon I was splashing around in my doggie pool because I live in the Desert Southwest of the good old U S of A and we are having a h e a t w a v e. I had just played and romped with my dog-roommate and so I was cooling off in the pool. All of a sudden this volunteer comes by and so I'm all excited because I love people. I'm friendly when I meet people so I hopped out of the pool and gave her a fine how-do-you-do.

I was getting to know her and she said I was such a good boy for how well I meet people. Then she pulled out her camera/phone and said it was time for my Petfinder Photo Shoot. And I was like, WHAT?! I thought, "Lady, nobody told me there was going to be a photo shoot today. I am soaking wet." But she just kept gushing about how I was the cutest and most compact little dog she'd ever seen and threw the leash around my neck and off we went.

So how do you think my photos turned out? I'm a little embarrassed about my wet fur but she said it didn't matter at all. All that mattered is that I'm sweet, friendly, attentive, responsive, and fun. And those things are true. So, I came when she called me to come. I sat when she told me to sit. I didn't chase toys when she threw them because, as I said, it was blasted hot out, but I snuggled up with her because I love to cuddle. She didn't even care that I got her a little wet when we snuggled.

She told me I have a super fun and happy energy and that I made her feel really good when we hung out. When she was busy reviewing my photos, I just chilled out in the shade, took a quick cat-nap, then we walked together back to my pen.

So, all in all, I'd say it was a pretty great day! I think a lot of pretty great days are in my future with my new family. I am a Pretty Great Dog so I wonder who will come snatch me up as their own? Love, Kaavan
