Meet Juppie

Juppie is a sweet, shy Pittie mix who needs an active family. Once he comes around and trusts you, he is your best friend and swimming partner! He is approx. 60lb and 1-2 years old. He does not like his crate for long periods of time and would do best with a family who worked from home or had day care options available. He is an agile dog and could easily clear a 4-5ft fence if there's something he wants on the other side. If he is mentally stimulated and tired, his favorite thing to do is sit on the couch with you or sit by your feet while you do dishes. He will follow you around the house all day long for affection and treats! Juppie cannot be in a home with cats, or dogs that resemble cats, but is great with dogs 30lb and over. He has hung out with labs, shepherds and pitties of all ages (including old, cranky ones) and knows how to take a correction when they don't want to play. He has never been around young kids but he has a serious wiggle but when he's happy and could knock one over by accident. He has been around kids 10+. He was heartworm positive and has undergone treatment. Juppie spent a few days in a home, but someone came in unannounced, and Juppie was returned for protecting what he thought was his family. He is ready to leave South Carolina for a life in New England when he finds his forever family.

Please note: We do not have a physical facility and the dogs are not located in Hudson, NH. We are a foster-based rescue and dogs can be located anywhere in New England. All adopters must be pre-approved to arrange a meet and greet, and the adopter is expected to travel to the dog's location. We do not transport once the dogs arrive in New England. Applications must be submitted at HarveysHope.org for consideration. We estimate it will be 1-2 weeks before you hear from one of our volunteers. Thank you!
