Jupiter is a perfect pup inside the home. Sweet and smart, she is six years old and weighs in at 18lbs. She is completely housetrained, spayed, microchipped and is up-to-date on vaccines.

Before coming into rescue, Jupiter had one home her entire life. Her pet parent passed away which was a huge change for this little girl. She will need a very experienced and patient adopter who will guide her with a gentle, firm hand and respect her space.

Ideally, Jupiter will do well in a forever home with an active single person or a couple. She would do best in a calm environment. She is not recommended with children; while she has never bitten, she growls and becomes impatient with them.

She loves to cuddle on the chair with you and has no startle reflex so if she is sleeping you can pat her and get her to move over. She loves to lay on your lap and loves a blanket to cuddle up in.

Jupiter must be the only pet in her adoptive home. While she really enjoys her walks, her fear of other dogs causes her to be reactive and aggressive when seeing them, so it would be best that she is walked somewhere quiet and private until she adjusts to her new environment and becomes comfortable. This could take some time.

Jupiter easily amuses herself and plays independently with her toys without getting bored. She has a strong need to chew, so would enjoy having several things available to keep her occupied.

She would prefer a home where she is not left alone for several hours but can be crated for a couple of hours during the day. Jupiter would enjoy a fenced in backyard to romp in or a country property where she can be walked in privacy.

Jupiter is an amazing dog who is lots of fun in the house - playful, funny, clean and very loving. She also seems to understand French!

A sweet girl who, with patience and positive reinforcement, will make for a loyal companion in her forever home, Jupiter is fostered in GODERICH, Ontario and her adoption fee is $475.
