Juniper was rescued from a breeder who surrendered her and many others. Juniper's former breeder had been in trouble with the USDA several times for poor quality of care. She is with us and now she is safe and loved.

Juniper is still shy and insecure when it comes to new people and situations. She startles easily at fast movement and will flinch or run. She adores other dogs and is learning a lot from her foster canine brothers. She will need a confident canine teacher in her new home to show her how to just be a dog and to trust people.

Juniper loves to run around in the yard and be free! Sometimes she can be a bit hard to catch when she is outside in the yard so a long leash to drag around will be helpful until she learns to trust and knows the routine. Juniper is crate trained and loves a little whip cream as a treat!

Juniper is approx. 3 years old and weighs about 30 lbs. Her adoption fee is $365 to help us cover our expenses. She is spayed, had an umbilical hernia repaired, microchipped, current on vaccines and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. Visit leiashope.org for our adoption process.

WE DO ADOPT OUT OF THE AREA, HOWEVER, WE DO NOT SHIP NOR ARRANGE TRANSPORTS. YOU WILL HAVE TO COME TO DECATUR, IL TO MEET THE DOG. IF FLYING, DOGS MUST FLY IN THE CABIN AND THE EXPENSE OF THE HEALTH CERTIFICATE IS ON THE ADOPTER.

THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS.

IT CAN TAKE AT LEAST 7 DAYS TO PROCESS AN APPLICATION SOMETIMES LONGER DEPENDING ON VOLUNTEER AVAILABILITY AND NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED SO PLEASE BE PATIENT AS WE ARE VOLUNTEERS WITH FAMILIES AND FULL TIME JOBS AND DOGS OF OUR OWN TO CARE FOR.
