Meet Junior Hernandez

Junior Hernadez is 8 years old and weighs 13 pounds.

HOLA PEOPLE –
I know, I know, my name is a mouthful, but you can call me Junior for short. Junior is not a reference to my size, but my family. I am the proud son of Señor Hernandez of the noble family of the Chihuahua breed. And speaking of my size, I realize that the average Chihuahua weighs between 3–7 pounds, but I am unusual at 13 pounds — mostly muscle by the way. What can I say — I'm special..

I am quite a friendly lad and enjoy hanging out with everyone, from kids to adults to dogs. I dislike cats, it's just a personal thing---they bug me. Tell me, do you know any worthy of meeting? I know that you cat lovers out there are a fierce breed, but we cannot all be as tolerant as you are of those hairy things. As most smaller dogs I know, I love to snuggle and play with my toys. I would thrive in a household where people are around a lot and pay attention to me.

Even though I am a strong and brave dog, fireworks worry me. They are so loud and scary and unnecessary. Just saying . . . Another thing, sorry, but I am really afraid of men. Something must have happened to me in the past concerning men, but since I only speak dog I cannot effectively tell you. Wish I could....

You know what I really love — what my secret passion is? TV — I love to watch TV, especially shows with dogs in them. I tend to try and talk to those dogs, which comes out as a bark in human speak. I would love to be a dog on TV, but I live in Corvallis and not LA. Someday maybe.

So, that's me — Mr. Friendly seeking a home. Give me a call and we'll talk — you'll love me!.

INTERESTED in JUNIOR? The first step is to fill out our online Adoption Application (address link below)

NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes so it is not possible to setup a meet and greet prior to submitting an adoption application. Filling out an application doesn't obligate you to adopt, but it does save your place in line if there are multiple people interested.

ADOPTION APPLICATION (Type or cut & paste the below website address into your browser): http://www.sdroregon.com/adoption-application.htm

If our Adoption Coordinator determines you are a good match they will contact you. This is a great opportunity for you to find out more about JUNIOR and decide if you would like to setup a meet and greet.

ADOPTION FEE is $150, and there’s a 10% Discount for Senior Citizens and Veterans.

Learn more about the ADOPTION PROCESS here (Type or cut & paste the below website address into your browser): http://www.sdroregon.com/adoption-process.htm

We apologize, but we are not able to answer individual questions about our dogs. We are a small, all-volunteer organization and we receive hundreds of inquiries. If you want to learn more about a particular dog, then please submit an Adoption Application. If your application is chosen, you will have the opportunity to meet the dog and to get answers to all of your questions. Thank you for your understanding.
