Quiet Start, Big Heart
June is a retriever mix pup born in June 2024, and yes—she’s living up to her name with that sweet summer energy… just the mellow, shady porch kind, not the firework-exploding chaos kind. She came from a quieter start to life, so she’s still learning that humans = good things. But once she opens up? She is so loving. Like, “let me sit next to you forever” loving.
June isn’t going to sprint into your arms on day one—but give her a little space, a couple of soft-spoken pep talks, and a snack or two, and she’ll start showing up for cuddles, loyalty, and low-key comedy. She does great with other dogs (the more social, the better), and prefers older, respectful kids who won’t rush the magic. She’s gentle, polite, and just wants to feel safe.
She’s crate-trained (though not thrilled about it at first), still working on leash and potty skills, and responds really well to calm, positive reinforcement. She's got zero interest in darting out doors or causing a scene—she’s way more of a vibe-with-you-in-the-kitchen type.
Bonus points if you have fruit. June will happily be bribed with a strawberry, and she will absolutely come around faster if you’ve got a watermelon situation happening.
She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention—but once she trusts you, she becomes the quiet little star of your whole day. Oh, and she’s got two just-as-lovely sisters, April and May, if you want to check them out!
June’s ready for her person—someone patient, kind, and totally okay with earning a little love the real way: one soft moment at a time.
