They were living in a wire kennel outdoors in the summer heat. When someone reported them being outside, they were surrendered and made it just in time for Hurricane Beryl the following day! We are very grateful for our rescue friends who helped us save these boys and they have learned to trust in their foster home. They are EXTREMELY SWEET, very bonded and would only be happy in a home together. These guys have been through a lot, so a bit of patience may be required to make them feel comfortable. They are a little shy, but in a short time they will warm up and soak up the love and attention! They will require a forever home with an experienced dachshund owner as they seem to like to roam...they need a securely fenced yard with no hurricane fencing, as they are climbers. They also need a place where the only kind of chicken on the property that could be on their menu is Colonel Sanders!
These two precious guys are very smart and have come a long way since they came into rescue in the summer and they're now ready and eager for a forever home and human to call their own! Considering their former life before ATDR, they're not at all hard to live with and already reasonably well minded. They get along well with all the pups and people in their foster home.
