Jughead Mixed Breed Rossville, TN

Poor Jughead! He got that name because something plastic like a milk jug was stuck on his head and he couldn't remove it! He roamed a neighborhood for quite a while like that because no one could catch him. Some people in the neighborhood finally called us about him. A few of our amazing volunteers went into action and finally caught him, removed the jug, and took him to the shelter. He was so scared when he arrived that he wouldn't even make eye contact with anyone, and it was virtually impossible to put a leash on him.

Volunteers have spent a lot of time with him to help with his socialization, and he is definitely more at ease around people he knows. He is currently undergoing leash training with volunteers.

Jughead loves other dogs and children. He is really a sweet and very handsome boy, and we are thrilled with the progress he is making. We're sure he'll get the hang of the leash soon! Jughead's date of birth is 3/2/2019 and he weighs about 72 pounds.

We had a DNA test done on Jughead and we found out he is 50% Great Pyrenees, 25% American Staffordshire Terrier, 12.5% Akita, and 12.5% Sporting/Guard Dog Breed Groups.
