Jubilee Pit Bull Terrier Aurora, IL

Who doesn't like a reason to celebrate?!? My foster mom said that there is going to be quite a festive party when I get adopted! It could be because my name is JUBILEE. I am a joyful American Staffordshire Terrier Mix weighing in at 62 pounds. I have been called the happy house hippo by my foster family, but the vet said my weight was just fine. She just wouldn't want to see me add any additional pounds to my stocky frame. I like that vet person. Actually, I am tickled pink with all people, especially if they show me any attention. I can go over the moon and jump up with excitement on my people, but I am really working on keeping four on the floor, paws that is. I may need a reminder or two or three. Due to being overzealous at times, I may not be the best candidate for those unstable walking. I would feel really bad if I knocked someone off their feet accidentally. However, if someone tells you that 62 pounds is too big for a lapdog, don't believe that nonsense. I will gladly crawl into your lap and give you all kinds of affection. Personal space is not in my vocabulary. Once I get over the wiggles (yes, I have a wiggle butt), I will gladly calm down and be pleased as punch to be a couch potato with you. I am around the age of 6 years old so I do calm reasonably quickly and I am past all that puppy madness. I am perfectly housebroken and I crate like a dream. I am in my kennel when I am home alone and at bedtime. I am quiet all night through. Currently, there are four dogs in my foster home and we co-exist just fine, but I can be picky with my canine friends. It seems that I do best with dog that are younger than me or smaller than me or more on the submissive side. I would be on cloud nine if I had a dog friend that let me jump on them and play bitey face. I do like to play. I will keep you on your toes, letting you know what is happening in the neighborhood. I do bark to alert when outside, but mostly quiet when inside the house. Walks are like seventh heaven to me. I will stay by your side. I am a graduate of obedience classes and have a diploma to prove it. I love going for car rides and prefer to ride shotgun. A fenced yard would be a bonus, please note that I can climb a chain link fence. If you are looking to make a dog as happy as on the top of the world, please consider me, JUBILEE.
