Hi. I’m Journey. I was given the name because I’ve been on quite a journey to get to where I am now. My foster mom found me scared & hiding in a kennel at the shelter and took me home. It didn’t feel like “home” at first and I tried to get away every chance I could. Living in a house was so different from my previous normal of running lonesome all on my own. It was all so scary. Slowly day after day I’ve gotten more comfortable. My foster family has shown me that people can be kind. I used to cower from their touch and now I nudge their hands to encourage them to pet me. I used to hide when I heard them coming and now they hear my tail wagging as they approach. They say I’m an old soul with a gentle spirit. They say I’m calm, quiet, smart and devoted. They say there is a person out there that needs me as much as I need them. They say I will meet them soon. I hope that’s true.

Journey is a 77 lb possible Catahoula/Hound Mix. She is HOUSEBROKEN & trustworthy in the house. She enjoys chin scratches, comfy couches, sunshine & leisurely walks. She is LOW ENERGY & currently lives with several dogs but doesn’t pay much attention to them. She is spayed, microchipped & utd on vacccines.
