What is a Courtesy Listing? New Horizon Dog Rescue has been asked by the dog's owner to assist in securing a new home for her dog.

Skiddish at times. Avoids children. No other dogs is preferred, as Josie can be selective.

Spayed? Yes
Microchipped? Yes
Current on rabies vaccine? Yes
Heartworm tested? Yes
Housetrained? Yes
Leash trained? Yes
Crate trained? Only when she was a puppy. I don't think she would care now.
Good with cats? No.


Josie loves car rides. She loves to stick her head out the window and feel the wind in her floppy ears. She loves being outdoors and going on hikes. She does amazing off leash at a safe location. She is well trained- sit, stay, down, paw, speak. She will wait for her food with a bowl right in front of her until you say EAT. She loves lizard hunting and staring out the window when it rains. She loves to play ball but she will never catch it OR bring it back. She stays off furniture but would love if you changed that! Josie will destroy toys but will never ruin anything of yours. She is fully house trained. She loves popsicles and butt rubs (with your foot!). She is not very affectionate but will definitely give you some love when she wants to. She loves naps, her alone time and lots of space to roam. She would definitely do best as the only child (no other pets or small children) and that is something we can't give her at this time.
