Meet Josie
Your 104-Pound Poolside Comedian
Josie is a three-year-old Saint Bernard mix with a heart every bit as big as her 104 pounds of marshmallow fluff and charm. Think “gentle giant,” but with a splash of diva energy and a whole lot of humor.
This big girl is all about her people—especially women and kids. Her favorite pastimes include swimming (she could earn a letterman jacket in dog-paddling), getting brushed like the beauty queen she is, and lounging in her crate like it’s a five-star suite. At adoption events she’ll happily mingle, then retreat to her crate for a power nap—because even social butterflies need their beauty rest.
Josie is fantastic on a leash and loves easy strolls, but she’s equally happy with a lazy afternoon belly rub. She adores other dogs and has plenty of gentle playmates at boarding, so a canine sibling would be a welcome bonus. Apartment or house? She’s cool with either, as long as you’ve got time for walks and maybe a backyard kiddie pool.
Josie can be cautious with new men in her life, so winning her heart may take a little extra love and patience. Once you’re in her circle, though, you’re in for life—complete with goofy “let’s swim again!” grins and soft nuzzles the size of couch cushions.
If you’re ready for a loyal, water-loving best friend who doubles as a 104-lb snuggle blanket, Josie is ready to wade right into your heart.
