Meet Josie, she came to us after her owner passed away and the other needed to go into assistance living. Josie has some fatty lumps and some cysts (one he removed) due to old age, and some arthritis. She’s still pretty agile for having that and being almost 14! She definitely had a bond with her former human (who passed away), and sometimes struggles with that. But she has started bonding with us and our big dogs! She definitely LOVES being outside and would spend all day there if we let her. She perks up when I throw the ball and chases after it until my two steal it, otherwise she isn’t interested in toys. Her preference is to lay on the Kitchen tile or on a blanket on the floor. She doesn’t really use her Orthopedic bed much. Eats like a champ and has found her Bork. She’s not much of a talker, but will let you know when she’s demanding assistance. Navigates the two steps out to the potty okay, but does need a home without stairs or a home where she can remain on one level because her balance isn’t great. Loose leash walks just fine and does need to have a stroll before doing her ? business before bed. Otherwise, she’ll whine all night refusing to poo While hooked up to the lead!
