This is sweet Josette, a 3-4 year old, likely a Basenji mix girl. She’s quite the talker, especially around dinner time or if she needs to go potty…she is reliably potty trained. She gets along with other dogs…but can be overwhelmed around really assertive dogs. She panics if locked in a crate, but has not been destructive when left alone in the home with another dog. While in her current foster home she has not been food aggressive with people or other pets, she has, in another home environment, exhibited food aggression. So to be safe she should not be adopted by a family with very young children. And because of her prey drive we think it is best that she not go to a home with very little dogs…just to be safe.
Josette needs a home with a fenced yard, without cats, little dogs or little children. And a home where she will have plenty of attention from her humans--so a home where she doesn’t need to regularly be left alone long hours…and with another compatible dog when she does need to be left alone.
